Monsoon on Health Exotic

When after the scorching summer, rain pours down it brings a sigh of relief on everyone’s face. Everyone loves rain during its initial days. So, over here I am going to talk about some precautions as to protect yourself from getting ill this monsoon.

Few simple measures to protect yourself

  • Boil water before drinking

Drinking lots of water are anyways advisable. Before drinking, check that the water is pure.  So, do not drink water from anywhere and everywhere. Try drinking only boiled water as boiling the water kills all the germs and impurities.

  • Take a shower after you get drenched in rain

Are you a rain lover?? Love getting drenched in rain?? No issues… Get wet as much you want.  But, do take a hot shower on returning back home. Your body gets infected due to temperature change when you get soaked in rain. Hot shower, helps you get rid of all the germs and bacteria that may have developed in your body.

  • Do not let water to stagnate in your surroundings

Diseases like malaria, dengue are very common in monsoon. These disease spreading mosquitoes generally breed in stagnant water. So, save yourself from getting infected. Clean away any stagnant water from your surroundings.

  • Avoid unhealthy food

We all love to have foods like samosas, pakoras and other types of fried food.Try making them at home itself. Avoid roadside food as much as possible, especially from vendors on the road. You may buy from proper shops, of which you are sure about the quality of food.

  • Wash your hands and feet

You all know that we should wash our hands and feet every time we come from outside. During monsoon, washing with water is not enough. Use any handwash.  The muddy roads are the home to mosquitoes.

  • Increase the intake of Vitamin C

Eat lots of those fruits which are rich in Vitamin C.  Vitamin C keeps your body immune against cold and cough.

These are just a few precautionary measure by adopting which we can avoid getting ill. There is nothing so concrete that if you do so you won’t get ill. Still, in case you fall ill do not delay and visit a doctor immediately.

Happy monsoon!!!!!!!!!!!!!
